When an agent contacts you by phone or email with a booking request, there are two ways to create a booking on their behalf:
Both methods ensure the agent's commission is automatically recognised and recorded at the time of booking.
Option 1: Using the Agent Booking Tool
Each agent has their own version of the booking tool — the Agent Booking Tool — which is accessible to agents through their portal, or to operators via a direct agent-specific link.
How to Access the Agent Booking Tool
Go to Marketplace > Agents.
Locate the relevant agent in the list.
Click the ellipsis menu (⋯) next to the agent's name.
Select Booking Tool.
This opens that agent's unique booking tool, pre-configured with the services activated for them and their applicable commission rates.
Making the Booking
Select the service, date, and customer details as usual.
At the checkout, the payment will depend on the agent's account type.
| Agent Type | What Happens at Checkout |
|---|---|
| Invoice Agent | Pay by invoice is available, meaning no payment is required at the time of booking. The balance is collected after travel. |
| Pre-paid Agent | The net amount (full price minus commission) must be paid at the time of booking. You should send the agent a payment link immediately so they can pay by credit card, or confirm that payment will be made offline before the date of travel. |
Option 2: Attributing a Booking from the Diary (Coming Soon)
A second method will soon allow you to create a booking directly from the diary and attribute it to a specific agent at the time of creation — without needing to use the Agent Booking Tool.
This article will be updated with full instructions when the feature becomes available.
