Cancel or close an event

If you want to cancel or close a single scheduled event, this will either remove all existing bookings or prevent new bookings from being made. 
This is seperate from cancelling an entire service, which would remove all scheduled events. 

Cancel an event

Cancelling an event would also cancel all of the existing bookings under the event, and cannot be undone. 
  1. Go to Schedule > Calendar in the left-hand menu.
  2. Find the event you want to cancel and click on it to open the details.
  3. Click Cancel Event.
  4. Review the confirmation message, then confirm the cancellation.

📝 Note: The Cancel Event button only appears if the event has at least one active booking.


Close an event

Closing an event would stop new bookings without cancelling existing bookings. I

  1. Go to Schedule > Calendar in the left-hand menu.
  2. Find the event and click on it to open the details.
  3. Click Close Event. 




Troubleshooting & FAQs

Will customers be notified when their bookings are cancelled?

When cancelling an event, you will have the option to send a notification or not. A confirmation window will appear, allowing you to:

  • Add optional comments for the customer
  • Choose how to notify customers:
    ✅ Email
    ✅ SMS
    ✅ Both Email & SMS
    ❌ Do not notify

This gives you full control over whether customers are informed about the cancellation.

Can I undo a cancelled event?

No, once an event is cancelled, all bookings are permanently removed. If you need to reschedule, you must create a new event.

Can I cancel some bookings while keeping the event open?
Yes! If you only need to remove certain customers but keep the event open, you can cancel individual bookings from the Bookings List instead.
