Check-in customers

Use check-in to confirm when customers arrive for their booking. This keeps your attendance records accurate and gives you a clear view of who has and hasn't shown up. This article will show you how to enable the check in feature and then how to check-in customers.

📝 Note: If you are part of a voucher initiative program, check in will already be enabled, you'll simply need to check in customers.

Before You Start
  1. Check-in must be enabled on a service before it appears as an option on bookings.

Enable check-in for a service

  1. Go to Inventory > Services using the left navigation menu.
  2. Find the service you want to enable check-in for and click the ••• button next to it.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Go to the Booking Preferences tab.
  5. Scroll down and set Require Check-in to Yes.
  6. Click Update.
Once enabled, bookings for that service will display a check-in option.

  3. In the window that opens, find the customer you want to check in.
  4. Click the Check-in icon next to their name.

Via the Bookings page

  1. Go to Sales > Bookings using the left navigation menu.
  2. Find the booking and click View Booking.
  3. At the bottom of the booking window, click the Check-in button.

Via the Home activity tab

  1. Go to Home and select the Activity tab.
  2. Choose Upcoming or Past bookings.
  3. Click the Check-in button next to the relevant booking.

📝 Note: The Check-in button only appears when the booking is within one hour of the appointment time, or after the appointment has passed.

QR code check-in

For busy sessions or events, you can speed up the check-in process using QR codes. Customers scan a QR code on arrival instead of being checked in manually.

See [Check in with a QR code] for setup instructions.
