Clone or delete a service

Clone or delete a service

Cloning lets you create a new service based on an existing one, copying all its details so you can make adjustments without starting from scratch. Deleting permanently removes a service from your account.

This article covers how to clone a service, how to delete one, and what to consider before you do either.

Clone a service

When you clone a service, Nabooki creates an exact copy of it — including the description, pricing, staff assignments, and settings. Cloning is useful when you want to offer a various of an existing service with minor changes, test a new configuration or create a seasonal version of a service.

Before you start

Make sure the service you want to clone is already set up and correct. The clone will copy all existing settings.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. In the left navigation menu, go to Inventory > Services.

  2. Find the service you want to clone.

  3. Click the ••• button next to the service.

  4. Select Clone from the dropdown menu. A new service draft is created with all details copied from the original.

  5. Click Edit on the cloned service.

  6. Update the title, pricing, availability, or any other details as needed.

  7. Click Update to save your changes.

📝 Note The cloned service is set to invisible online by default. To make it bookable, go to the General tab > Show Advanced settings > deselect invisible online > Update to save.

Delete a service

Deleting a service permanently removes it from your Nabooki account. This cannot be undone.

⚠️ Warning: Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. Before deleting, consider whether deactivating the service is a better option — see Deactivate a service instead below.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. In the left navigation menu, go to Inventory > Services.
  2. Find the service you want to delete.
  3. Click the ••• button next to the service.
  4. Select Delete from the dropdown menu.
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

📝 Note: If you want to stop offering a service temporarily rather than removing it permanently, you can set an offer end date instead. See How to offer a service for a limited time for details.

Deactivate a service instead

If you're not sure you want to permanently delete a service, deactivating is a safer option. Deactivating removes the service from customer-facing views and prevents new bookings, but keeps all data intact so you can reactivate it later.

📝 Note Deactivating a service does not cancel existing or future bookings.

To deactivate a service:

  1. Go to Inventory > Services.
  2. Find the service you want to deactivate.
  3. Untick the active (✓) toggle next to the service to deactivate it.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Can I clone a service with bookings already made?

Yes. The cloned service is a new service without any bookings, even if the original has existing bookings.

Does cloning duplicate staff and resource assignments?

Yes, all assignments and settings are copied, but you can adjust them in the cloned service as needed.

Is the cloned service automatically visible online?

No. The cloned service is invisible by default and must be made visible on the General tab before customers can book it.
