How to Use the Close Event Function to Prevent Further Bookings

The Close Event function allows you to manually stop additional bookings for a scheduled session. This is useful when:

  • You want to temporarily block new bookings without cancelling the event.
  • You need to prevent last-minute bookings beyond a certain point.
  • You wish to close bookings earlier than the set booking cut-off time.

📌 Important:

  • Closing an event does not cancel existing bookings—customers already booked will not be affected.
  • If a class reaches capacity, it will automatically stop accepting new bookings. However, you can manually close a session earlier if needed.
  • You can reopen the event at any time if you want to allow bookings again.

How to Close an Event

1️⃣ Go to Schedule > Calendar from the left-hand menu.
2️⃣ Locate the session you want to close.
3️⃣ Click on the session to open its details.
4️⃣ Click Close Event to prevent any further bookings.

The event is now closed. Customers will no longer be able to book into this session.

How to Reopen a Closed Event

If you need to allow bookings again, you can reopen the session.

1️⃣ Go to Schedule > Calendar.
2️⃣ Find the closed event (it will be marked as closed).
3️⃣ Click on the session to open its details.
4️⃣ Click Reopen Event to enable bookings again.

Customers can now book into this session as usual.
