Creating staff and schedules 

This article explains how to add staff in Nabooki, set their availability, and assign them to services so they can be booked by customers.

📝 Note: Staff in Nabooki is a related to the feature "Staff", if you are trying to add a new user or person to your portals, please follow the help guide here. 

Before You Start:
  1. You need owner or admin access to add or manage staff. 

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Go to Settings in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select Staff.
  3. Click + Add new.
  4. Enter the staff member's name and email address.
  5. If your account has multiple locations, click the drop-down on location and select the correct location
  6. Click Continue to set up the hours and availability 
  7. Determine how availability of the resource:
    - Standard Business Hours: It's available in your normal business hours.
    - Specific Hours: Set a weekly schedule of specific hours.
  8. You can adjust availability and block-out certain dates, or fine-tune availability from this menu.
  9. Click finish to save. 

     











To assign a staff to services:

A staff member must be assigned to at least one service before customers can book them.
  1. Go to Settings > Staff and open the staff profile.
  2. Under Assigned services, select the services this staff member provides.
  3. Click Update to Save. 

📝 Note: Customers can only book a staff member for services they've been assigned to. If a service isn't appearing as bookable, check that the correct staff member is assigned.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

Can I assign staff to multiple services?

Yes, staff can be assigned to as many services as needed. Customers will only see staff available for the service they are booking.

How do I allow customers to select their preferred staff member?

In the Staff & Resources tab of the service setup, uncheck "Staff names not visible to customers" to enable this option.

Can I change staff availability for a specific date?

Yes, use the Fine-Tune Hours feature to modify availability for specific dates without changing regular working hours.

Can staff log in to manage their schedules?

Yes, you can assign a user login to a staff member, allowing them to log in and manage their own bookings.
