Customers: Using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second verification step when you log in to Nabooki, strengthening your account security and login method. This guide explains how 2FA works and walks you through enabling or disabling it.
What is two-factor authentication?
When 2FA is enabled, logging in requires two things: your password and a time-sensitive verification code generated by an authenticator app on your phone. Even if someone gets hold of your password, they can't access your account without also having access to your phone.
You can enable 2FA at any time from your account settings. Once set up, you'll be prompted to enter a verification code each time you log in.
Before you start
You'll need an authenticator app installed on your mobile device before you can set up 2FA. Common options include Google Authenticator, Duo-Mobile, OneAuth, Microsoft Authenticator, and Authy. If you don't have one installed, download one from your device's app store before continuing.
Enable 2FA
- Go to My Profile settings.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Two Factor Authentication.
- Click Enable.
- Enter your password when prompted to confirm your identity.
- Open your authenticator app and scan the QR code displayed on screen.
- Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app into the field shown.
- Click Confirm (or equivalent) to complete setup.
- Save the recovery codes displayed on screen in a secure location.
📝 Note: Recovery codes can be used to access your account if you don't have your phone available. Each code can only be used once.
