Enabling staff selection for bookings

By default, Nabooki automatically assigns an available staff member when a customer books. If you want customers to choose who provides their service, you can turn this on in the service settings.

Before You Start:
  1. This feature is enabled on services, it must be enabled against each individual service and cannot be enabled globally across services.
  2. Staff members must already be added to your account and assigned to the relevant service before they'll appear in the selection list.

Step-by-step instructions:

  1. Go to Inventory, then click Services, in the left-hand menu.
  2. Click the name of the service you want to update.
  3. Select the Staff & Resources tab.
  4. Uncheck Staff names not visible to customers.
  5. In the Title of staff member providing this service field that appears, select a title from the dropdown β€” for example, Operators, Guides, or Instructors.
    To use a custom title, click Other and type your preferred label. Enter the title as a plural (for example, "Providers" not "Provider").
  6. Click Update to save.

Why is "Any Staff" the default selection in the booking widget?

The default selection is "Any Staff" to show the maximum available timeslots. If a customer selects a specific staff member, only that staff member's available times will be displayed.


A staff member isn’t appearing in the selection list. Why?

Check the following:

  • The staff member is assigned to the service in their profile (Settings > Staff > Services dropdown).
  • The staff member has available working hours in their Hours tab.
  • The staff member accepts online bookings (they must not have "This staff member does not accept online bookings" enabled in their profile).
  • The selected date and time fall within their available schedule.
Can I enable staff selection for some services but not others?
Yes. The setting is controlled per service, so you can allow staff selection for specific services while keeping others automatically assigned.
What should I enter for the "Title of staff member providing this service"?
Select from the predefined titles (e.g., Consultants, Teachers, Instructors) or enter a custom title. If entering a custom title, ensure it is plural (e.g., "Providers" instead of "Provider").
