How to Reinstate or Remove a Cancelled or Moved Booking


When a booking is cancelled or moved, it remains visible in the original time slot as a placeholder for easy reference.

This helps prevent accidental booking conflicts and allows for quick reinstatement if needed.

Placeholders are shown as transparent bookings with a red cross (❌) for identification.

Step 1: Locate the Cancelled or Moved Booking

1️⃣ Go to Schedule > Calendar from the left-hand menu.
2️⃣ Find the original time slot where the booking was made.
3️⃣ Look for the
transparent placeholder with a red cross (❌) indicating the cancelled or moved booking.





Reinstate a Cancelled or Moved Booking

1️⃣ Click on the placeholder booking.
2️⃣ A pop-up window will display the booking details.
3️⃣ Click
Reinstate booking to restore the appointment.
4️⃣ The booking will now reappear in the calendar as an
active booking.

InfoNote: If the booking was moved to a different time slot, reinstating it will return it to its original time and date.

 


















Remove a Cancelled or Moved Booking Permanently

If you no longer need the placeholder, you can remove it:

1️⃣ Click on the placeholder booking.
2️⃣ In the pop-up window, click
Remove from diary.
3️⃣ Confirm your choice to delete the record permanently.

AlertImportant:
  • This action cannot be undone once the placeholder is removed.
  • Customers will not receive a notification when a placeholder is removed.

Troubleshooting & FAQs

What happens if I don’t remove a cancelled booking?
The placeholder will stay visible in your calendar for reference, but it won’t affect availability or prevent new bookings.
Can customers see placeholders in their booking history?
No, placeholders are for internal use only. Customers will not see them in their booking records.
