How to Set Up a One-Off Event in Nabooki


A one-day event allows you to offer a service on a specific date without adding it as a recurring schedule.

There are two ways to set up a one-day event:
1️⃣
By adding a new service with a specific start and end date
2️⃣
By creating a one-off schedule for an existing service through the Calendar

Method 1: Create a One-Day Event as a New Service

If the event does not already exist in your services, you can create a new service with a fixed availability period.


Step 1: Add a New Service

1️⃣ Go to Inventory > Services.
2️⃣ Click the blue + button to 
Add Service.



Step 2: Create the Event as a Service

1️⃣ Enter the event name as the Service Name.
2️⃣ Set the
Duration and Price.
3️⃣ Press
Continue.


Step 3: Define the Event Details

1️⃣ You will be redirected back to the Services page. Click the ‘•••’ button next to the service you have just created and select Edit.
2️⃣ Select
Multiple Bookings from the dropdown menu under 'Service allows'. This will display the capacity values you can define for the event.
3️⃣ 
Select 'More details' to expand this section and set the event Start and End dates. For single day event set the same date for both fields.


4️⃣ Select the Staff & Resources tab from the top of the window and assign the required Resource or Staff to the event.
5️⃣ Select the Availability tab and create the schedule by selecting the timeslot for the start time required. Ensure the day(s) of the week selected aligns with the date range you have set in the General tab.
6️⃣ Define your Booking Preferences as required in the last tab.

✅ The event will now be available for booking on the selected date only.

Method 2: Add a One-Off Schedule in the Calendar

If you already have the service set up and just need to add a one-off event, follow these steps:


Step 1: Navigate to Your Calendar

1️⃣ Go to Schedule > Calendar.
2️⃣ Select the date you want to add the event.
3️⃣ Click on an available time slot.




Step 2: Create a New Schedule

1️⃣ The 'Add New' window will appear. Select Schedule from the top tab.



2️⃣ Select the Staff or Resource from the first dropdown menu.
3️⃣ Select the Service from the second dropdown menu.
4️⃣ Press 'Check availability' to ensure there are no schedule conflicts.
5️⃣ Press Add schedule to add the event.

✅ The event is now scheduled for that date only.

Please note: If there is no availability, it is still possible to add the event via this method and override any conflicts.



Troubleshooting & FAQs

What happens if I need to reschedule the event?
You can edit the event in the Calendar or if you have not received any bookings, update the start and end dates in the Service settings.
Can I duplicate a one-day event?
Yes, you can repeat the process via the Calendar or extend the start and end dates in the Service setup.
How do I cancel a one-day event?
If you only need to prevent further bookings, use the 'Close event' function, otherwise click on the event in the Calendar and select the red rubbish bin to delete the event. 

If bookings existing, you are required to move those bookings prior to deleting the event or you can cancel and notify all customers when prompted.
