Manage and purchase SMS credits
SMS credits are used to send SMS notifications to your customers through Nabooki. This guide walks you through purchasing credits, viewing your balance, and setting up automatic top-ups.
Before You Start
- You'll need access to the Billing section of your Nabooki account. If you can't see this menu, check that your account role includes billing permissions.
Purchase SMS Credits
- Click on your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Go to Billing > SMS Credits.
- Review your current SMS credit balance displayed on the page.
- Click Purchase SMS Credits.
- Select the number of credits you want to purchase from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm your payment details as prompted.
- Click Update to complete the purchase.
From here, you can also Set up auto-recharge and view your SMS usage.
📝 Note: Each SMS is charged as one credit. If a message exceeds 160 characters — including spaces and line breaks — it will be charged as two credits. To stay within the limit, test your SMS messages and shorten your business name or address if needed.
Troubleshooting & FAQs
No, your SMS credits do not have an expiry date. You can use them whenever needed.
You can purchase SMS credits in bundles of 100, 1,000, or 10,000. When an SMS notification is sent, your SMS balance is automatically reduced by one credit (or more) per message.
You will not be able to send SMS notifications until you purchase more credits.
Yes, you can buy SMS credits at any time from the SMS Credits page.
Credits are generally added instantly or within minutes of purchase.
Currently, detailed SMS usage history is not available in Nabooki but you can view how many credits were used for each customer in the history tab of their booking. It will be presented as: Booking reminder SMS to 0401234567 (SMS Count: 1) - Status: DELIVERED
