Send email or sms notifications
On-demand notifications let you manually send email or SMS messages to customers about their existing bookings, which is useful when you need to share important information beyond the automatic notifications they receive.
Before You Start:
- You can only send notifications to customers who have existing or upcoming bookings scheduled.
Step-by-step instructions
- Go to Sales > Bookings or Schedule > Calendar from the left navigation menu, then search and open the customer’s booking.
- Click the bell icon on the booking, from here you can choose to:
- Notify by Email - An email client will open with the to field pre-populated. You can add multiple email addresses as required.
- Notify by SMS - Type your message in the window that appears.
- Edit the content as needed.
- Click Send.
💡 Tip: If you regularly send the same type of message, consider creating a saved email template in your email client to save time.
⚠️ Warning: You'll need sufficient SMS credits before sending. Check your balance under Settings > SMS Credits.


Troubleshooting & FAQs
No. You can only send email notifications if a valid email address is recorded, and SMS messages if a valid mobile number is present.
You cannot send SMS notifications without sufficient credits. Additional SMS credits can be purchased in the billing section of your account - Merchant Profile :: Billing
Yes, the message windows allow you to edit the content before sending.
No. These on-demand notifications are manual and must be sent individually per booking.
On-demand SMS notifications are sent via external SMS gateways, so the sending process happens outside of Nabooki. Therefore, these SMS messages do not appear within Nabooki’s system logs or notification history.
