How to Adjust Staff Availability for Specific Dates Using Fine-Tune

Fine-Tune allows you to override a staff member’s usual schedule on specific dates without permanently changing their regular availability.

This feature is ideal when:

✅ A staff member or resource needs to be available on a day they don’t normally work.
✅ A staff member
needs to work fewer or extra hours on certain dates.
✅ A
temporary schedule adjustment is needed (e.g., shift swaps, seasonal changes).
✅ You want to
apply the change to multiple dates (e.g., every Monday for the next month).
✅ You need to operate
outside of your normal business hours for one-off events.

📌
Fine-Tune applies only to the selected date(s) and does not affect the ongoing schedule.

Method 1: Adjusting a Single Date (via Calendar)

Use this method when you need to change a staff member's or resource’s availability for one specific date.

Step 1: Access the Individual Staff/Resource Calendar

1️⃣ Log into your Nabooki account.
2️⃣ Click on Schedule from the left-hand menu.
3️⃣ Select Calendar to view your schedule.
4️⃣ Locate and select the staff member or resource whose availability you want to adjust from the Staff & Resources side panel.

AlertFine-Tune is only available when an individual staff member or resource is selected.

Step 2: Apply a Fine-Tune Adjustment

1️⃣ Navigate to the date that needs to be adjusted.
2️⃣ Select Fine-Tune Hours (displayed as a small clock icon).
3️⃣ Adjust the start and end time for that day.
4️⃣ Click Update to confirm.

The new hours will now override the normal schedule for the selected date.

Method 2: Adjusting Multiple Dates (via Staff/Resource Settings)

Use this method when you need to modify availability across multiple days, such as:

  • A temporary schedule change (e.g., a different shift for an entire month).
  • A seasonal update (e.g., extended summer hours).
  • A staff member or resource working different hours for a defined period.

Step 1: Access Staff/Resource Settings

1️⃣ Click on Settings from the left-hand menu.
2️⃣ Select Staff (or Resources if needed).
3️⃣ Click Edit from the Action menu next to the staff member or resource.
4️⃣ In the new window, select the Hours tab at the top.

Step 2: Apply Fine-Tune Adjustments for Multiple Dates

1️⃣ Click Fine-Tune Hours for Specific Dates.
2️⃣ Select the dates you want to apply the adjustments to.
3️⃣ Define the start and end times for those dates.
4️⃣ Click Update to confirm.

The new hours will override the default schedule for the selected period.

How to Remove or Edit a Fine-Tune Adjustment

Once a Fine-Tune adjustment has been applied, you can view and manage future adjustments easily.

Step 1: View Fine-Tuned Dates

1️⃣ Navigate to the Fine-Tune Hours section using either:

  • Calendar (for individual date adjustments)
  • Settings > Staff/Resources (for multiple date adjustments)
2️⃣ Click View Future Fine-Tuned Dates.
3️⃣ A new window will open displaying a list of all fine-tuned dates.

Step 2: Edit or Reset a Fine-Tune Adjustment

To Edit an Individual Date:
1️⃣ Locate the date you want to modify.
2️⃣ Click the Action menu next to the date.
3️⃣ Select Edit and adjust the start/end times as needed.
4️⃣ Click Update to apply changes.

To Reset an Individual Date to Normal Hours:

1️⃣ Locate the date in the list.
2️⃣ Click the Action menu next to it.
3️⃣ Select Reset to Normal Hours.
4️⃣ The date will revert to its original schedule.

To Reset All Fine-Tuned Dates at Once:

1️⃣ At the top of the window, click Reset all to normal hours.
2️⃣ Confirm the action.
3️⃣ All Fine-Tune adjustments will be removed, and regular hours will be restored.

📌
Once reset, Fine-Tune adjustments cannot be recovered. You will need to reapply them if needed.
