Using categories on the widget 

Categories let you group related services together so customers can navigate your booking widget more easily. This guide explains how categories work and how to add one to a service.

Before You Start: 
  1. To organise the order of your categories, this is done on services. You can follow this article - organise or reorder your services. 
  2. You can also learn more about Service Structure Concepts to understand categories better. 

To add a new category

  1. Click Inventory in the left-hand menu.
  2. Select Services.
  3. Click the β€’β€’β€’ (action menu) next to the service you want to categorise and select Edit.
  4. Go to the General tab and scroll down, then click More details.
  5. Under Category, click Add New Category.
  6. Enter a category name (for example, Massage Treatments or Fitness Classes).
  7. Click Update to save.
πŸ“ Note: Each service is categorised individually. To group multiple services under the same category, repeat the steps above and enter the same category name for each service.  




Troubleshooting & FAQs

Can I assign a service to multiple categories?

No, each service can only belong to one category at a time.

What happens if I don’t assign any categories?

All services will be displayed in a single list without any grouping. If one or more categories are applied, any services without a category will be marked as 'Other'.

Can I rename or delete a category?
You can add a new category at any time if it needs to be renamed. If a category is deleted, services within that category will remain available but without grouping.
