Adjust Capacity and Block Out Dates
Adjust Capacity and Block Out Dates
Use these tools to control when and how many bookings you accept during the Coast is Calling Vouchers Program.
Block out dates: stop all voucher bookings on selected days (e.g. at capacity, closed, maintenance).
Adjust capacity: limit the number of bookable units if some are already taken by existing bookings or bookings you receive directly.
During busy periods such as Christmas and New Years, you may already have bookings. Make sure you reduce your available capacity or block-out dates to avoid booking conflicts. Blocking out dates
Blocking out dates stops bookings on selected days, for example - if you are booking out, closed for maintenance or simply do not want to take bookings.
There are two types of block outs:
Staff Blockout: Blocks out a specific service, if you have more than one place to book (e.g Powered site, Cabin 1, Cabin 2, Family Cabin)
Location Blockout: Blocks out the whole location, suitable if your a single holiday home (e.g Closed for Christmas, no booking availability)
How to block out dates
- Go to the Schedule Module > Calendar, or start action if you're already there.
- Click the Blockout Button, in the top left corner next to filters.

- On the Blockout window, you can choose the Staff Blockout tab or Location Tab.
If your using Staff Blockout (rooms/experiences), be sure to click on the dropdown to select the right type.
If you using Location Blockout, simply click on the dates you need to block out.

- Click Update to save.
To reverse these changes, click on the blocked-out date you want to reverse and click Update to save.
Adjusting Capacity
Adjusting capacity means allocating more inventory to your promotion to make it bookable. This is applicable if your a hotel or holiday park and have more than one type of room available.
Scenarios where you may need to adjust capacity:
- You have allocated 6 rooms to this program, but actually have 10 rooms and need to add more to the program.
- Voucher holders are not able to book a room, but you have the availability and are not blocked out.
- Someone has changed their booking and you need to open more availability to change their booking.
- Or any reason why you can't make a booking but are not in a block-out period.
Capacities work in the nature of a Parent Service (overall capacity) and Sub-Service (capacity allocated to each promotion).
For example (image below): Self Contained Room (Parent Service) has a total of 6 rooms available
This has been allocated to the following (Sub-Services):
- 6 rooms for - CCV2-100: Self Contained Room - 5 Night Stay Promotion
- 6 rooms for - CCV2-200: Self Contained Room - 5 Night Stay Promotion
- 6 rooms for - CCV2-500: Self Contained Room - 5 Night Stay Promotion
If 4 rooms have been booked by CCV2-200 and 2 rooms have been booked by CCV2-500, then all 6 are used and no rooms are available.
If you want to increase your rooms, then increase the Parent Service (top field) and correlate this to the Sub-Service or Promotion you want to increase the availability for.
How to Adjust Capacity
Go to Schedule > Calendar.
Select the date, choose the schedule, then click Edit capacities.
To reduce capacity, simply adjust the value at the top of the screen. This will reduce the capacity across all voucher marketplaces that are applicable.
To increase capacity, simply adjust the value at the top of the screen, then adjust the promotional offers.
Select Update to save.
Repeat these steps for each day, as required.
