Assign staff & resources tab

Before a service can be booked, it must have at least one staff member or resource assigned to it. This article explains how to assign them, and walks you through the Staff & Resources tab on services. 

Before You Start: 
  1. Make sure you have a staff member or resource set up. 
  2. To get to this section of service creation, go to Inventory > Services > Click on the Service you want to edit.

To assign a staff or resource

1. Navigate to Staff & Resources tab.
2. Select a staff member or resource from the dropdown
3. Click on the staff or resource you want to assign. 
4. Click Update to save changes. 


Staff & Resource Availability

A service's availability is directly tied to the assigned staff or resource's schedule. If a staff member is unavailable or working limited hours, the service will not be bookable during those times.

To adjust availability:
  1. Use Fine-Tune Availability to modify specific dates.
  2. Adjust default working hours under Settings > Staff.
💡 Tip: Staff / Resource Names not visible to customers - allows customers or guests to choose the staff or resource when they make a booking. Helpful if guests or customers have a preference on who they would like to complete the service with. 

Resource-Only Services

Some services require only resources (rooms, vehicles, equipment) rather than staff.
  • Leave staff unassigned if a service only requires a resource.
  • If both staff and resources are assigned, both must be available for a booking to proceed.
