The General tab controls the core details of your service, including how
customers book, pricing options, and additional display information. Let's take a look at the core features on the General tab.
Before You Start:
- Make sure you have created a service - Services: Create a service
- To get here: Go to Inventory > Services > Click on the service you want to configure
Service Allows
Under Service allows, choose how customers can book:
- Single bookings – one customer books a time slot at a time
- Multiple bookings – multiple customers can book the same time slot
- Private bookings – a group books a slot together, preventing others
from joining
General Section
Under More Details, you can configure the following:
- Start & End Dates – limit the service to a specific date range
- Description – details that customers see when booking
- Image – upload an image for the booking widget
- Categories – group services for easier navigation (recommended when
you offer multiple services)
- Options – add variations of this service with different durations,
prices, or inclusions
Duration, Price and Quantity Settings
In the Price section, you can Add Price Categories, Hide and Display Sale prices.
- Add Price Categories – create pricing tiers such as Adult, Concession,
and Child.
- Hide Price – prevents the price from showing in the booking widget.
- Display as Sale Price – highlights a discount or promotion.
In the Duration section, you can customise the length of the service.
- Show duration in days/nights - If you have a consecutive multi-day or overnight service.
In the Quantity Section, if you've selected groyp bookings you can manage your capacity with quantity.
- Minimum Quantity - Minimum limit a single person must book.
- Maximum Quantity - Limit a single person can book from the max capacity.
- Max Capacity - Total number of spots available per service.
Example: If you have 10 spots available in your group booking, your max capacity is 10. If you allow a person to book one ticket, the minimum quantity is 1, however if they can book up to 5 tickets in their single order or transaction, the maximum capacity is 5.
Advanced Settings
Under Advanced Settings, you can add more functionality to your service.
- Multiple Sessions – allow a service to span more than one session
- Visibility Online – control whether the service appears in your
booking widget
- Deactivate This Service – hide the service from customers without
deleting it
- Booking Type – choose between Instant Booking (confirmed immediately)
or Booking Request (requires your approval)
