Setting availability

How customers book

The booking experience depends on whether your service is set up for single or multiple bookings.

Type
How it Works
Best for
Single Bookings
Customers pick any available time within your hours
Appointments, private sessions, one-on-one bookings
Multiple Bookings
Customers book into pre-scheduled time slots
Classes, group sessions, tours, workshops, events

Single bookings - Controlling when customers can book

Use the following settings to define your available time slots:

  1. Booking Resolution – the interval between available start times (e.g. every 15 or 30 minutes)
  2. Starting Time – the earliest available start time for the service
  3. Blocking Out Times – times to exclude from availability

Multiple bookings — Creating Schedules

For classes, tours, and group sessions, you need to create schedules in advance. Customers can only book into times you've set up.

To create a schedule:

  1. Click a time slot on the calendar for the relevant day.
  2. A pop-up will appear — assign the relevant staff and/or resources.
  3. Optionally, give the session a name (e.g., "Morning Yoga" or "2 PM Boat Tour").
  4. Adjust the capacity if it differs from your default setting.
  5. Click Update to save.

Multi-Day Services

When a customer books a multi-day service, the system automatically blocks all days within the service duration to prevent overlapping bookings. This means schedules must be created for every day included in the service.

Choose the setup that matches how your service runs:

Scenario 1 — Flexible Start Dates Customers can choose any day within a date range to begin their booking.

  • Create a schedule for every day within the available range.
  • Assign staff and resources for each day.
  • The system will automatically block the following days once a booking is made.

Example: A wellness retreat where guests can arrive on any day of the week — you'd create schedules for all seven days.

Scenario 2 — Fixed Start Dates Your service only begins on specific days.

  • Create schedules for only those specific consecutive days.
  • Assign staff and resources for each day.
  • Customers can only start their booking on those fixed days.

Example: A tour that always starts on Monday and runs for three days — you'd create schedules for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday only.
