Once your experiences are created and activated in Bókun, and your services have been mapped from Nabooki, the final step is to connect your experiences to the booking channels you want to sell through.
This is where your experiences are submitted to booking channels for review and approval.
1️⃣ In Bókun, go to Sales tools > OTAs
2️⃣ Browse the list of available OTA channels such as Viator, GetYourGuide, Airbnb, Klook and more
3️⃣ Click Connect now on the OTA you want to set up
The connection process will vary depending on the OTA. Some allow you to connect instantly by logging in, while others require you to send a proposal and wait for approval.
Some OTAs may require manual approval or contract acceptance before your product is published. You'll see a Contract pending status in Bókun until the connection is active. Each OTA has its own commission structure and payout timing. If too much demand shifts to OTAs too quickly, this can impact margins and cash flow. Starting slowly gives you time to understand how each channel performs for your business before expanding further.
A common starting point for operators targeting international customers is:
Viator, and
Either GetYourGuide or Klook
Viator is often a good first option because it connects to your Tripadvisor listing, which is one of the main discovery platforms for tours and experiences.Viator charges a fee to review each new listing. To help manage this:
A monthly credit is provided that can be used to submit one new listing
If you want to minimise upfront costs, consider starting with a single experience and expanding later
Once you’re comfortable with how commissions, payouts and demand behave, you can add more experiences or connect additional channels.
When connecting to an OTA, you’ll be guided on screen through any information required to complete the setup. This may include business or banking details, accepting commission terms or providing channel-specific information.
Some steps may take place directly on the OTA’s website rather than inside Bókun. This is normal and expected.
To make it easier to assist if any issues come up, we recommend adding Steve, Nabooki’s integration specialist, as a user or contact within each OTA account where possible. This provides visibility into your OTA setup and helps with troubleshooting if an application is delayed or requires changes.
Where available add steve.milner@nabooki.com. If you’re unsure where to add a user for a specific OTA, contact support and we can point you in the right direction. When you click Connect now for an OTA, the next steps depend on how that OTA handles integrations. Some OTAs use a direct account connection, while others require a contract proposal and approval.
You’ll be guided on screen through the required steps for each OTA.
Many larger OTAs require you to create or connect an account on their platform and then set up your experiences directly within that OTA.
While Bókun helps with availability and syncing, each OTA still requires you to complete or create your listings in their own system. The information requested is often similar across platforms, with slight variations.
In most cases, you’ll be asked to:
Create or complete experience listings on the OTA
Enter titles, descriptions and images
Add meeting or pickup details
Confirm pricing, policies and availability rules
Because much of this information is reused across channels, we strongly recommend keeping a simple reference document with your final titles, descriptions and key details. This can save significant time when setting up multiple OTAs and helps keep listings consistent.

Approval can take time

This timeline is controlled by each OTA and sits outside of Nabooki or Bókun.
After an OTA connection is approved and active:
Availability is checked in real time with Nabooki
Bookings from the OTA sync automatically into your Nabooki calendar
No manual updates are required once the connection is live
Changes you make in Nabooki continue to sync with connected OTAs.
